This site sets no cookies, tracks no visitors and loads nothing from third parties. The only information I receive about you is what you type into the contact form yourself.

What is collected

Only the contact form fields: name, email address, company name (optional) and the message itself. Nothing else is asked for or collected.

If you write by email instead, the data processed is whatever you choose to put in the message.

Why it is used

To reply to your enquiry and to prepare a quote. The data is not used for marketing, not sold and not passed on.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): you made contact, and answering it requires processing what you sent. If a contract follows, the basis becomes performance of that contract.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to a customer relationship are deleted within 12 months. Data relating to an actual customer relationship is kept for as long as Finnish accounting law requires, which is six years from the end of the financial year.

Who else sees it

Two service providers, acting on my behalf and solely to deliver this service:

• Netlify — site hosting and form handling. Data is also processed in the United States, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Zoho — email. Data is held within the EU.

The data goes nowhere else.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. There is no visitor tracking, no ad network and no analytics tool. That is why there is no cookie banner — none is needed when nothing is stored.

Fonts and images are served from this same server, so your browser contacts no third party while you read the page.

The server keeps a technical log of incoming requests, as every web server does. The log is not used to identify or profile visitors.

Your rights

You have the right to see the data held about you, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, restrict its processing and object to it. Send the request to info@hypersmithy.com and it will be answered within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

If this notice changes, the new version is published on this page.
